I'm still suprised that I'm a junior. I'm not super excited about going to college. A little nostalgic and scared actually. It's odd. I can remember 9th grade perfectly. I was this skinny little kid wearing clothes that clashed, not this totally awesome nerdish girl that I am right now.

I remember my first day or first grade...yeah, time does fly...next year around this time...we'll be graduating..

Yep, time went by way too fast. I'm excited, but really nostalgic about leaving my friends and my country. It's wierd...I mean, we always knew we'd be seniors someday, but it seemed so far away that I guess I partially thought the day would never come, and now its here ( well, almost).

Yo, bump this thread upp!

I'm trying to finish strong last quarter of Junior year while battling junioritis. APs are over, and I'm taking my last SAT II in June. I just settled my summer plans (internship at this company in shanghai), got elected corrsec of my school's NHS chapter, and I'm looking forward to summer 2006!

Uhh I am so NOT looking forward to this summer. My girlfriend is going away for 8 weeks (STUPID HARVARD), one of my best friends is going to Germany when I get back from Governor's School, and my other best friend is going to either Penn or Boston for 6 or 7 weeks. And this Rutgers professor hasn't responded after I emailed him my resume (which he'd asked for) for a research internship.

I have a debate tournament on Tuesday, the same day my AP Lang project (for our final grade) is due, I'm on the verge of getting B's in three classes, I don't know if I'll be elected anything in my NHS chapter (I still have to decide what to run for), I don't think I got an 800 on my last SAT II, and my family situation is deterioriating.

On the flip side, I just talked to a guy at Princeton and I can take a 200-level bio class and 300-level chem class with undergrads there first semester, which means I have an excuse not to take AP Lit next year (long story) which I'm glad about cause I'd definitely get a B. OH and my good friend is going to be my debate partner next year (my partner of two years is graduating)!!!!

Overall, I'm pretty confused about whether I should be happy or frustrated at this point.

I'm happy I'm a senior finally!!! I've got a research scholarship to work at NASA should be fun :).... I'm just afraid that I'm going to fall in love with all these schools I'm going to be applying to... and I don't know if I'd pick up well after rejection... I think one of my biggest fears is rejection... may it be colleges or a boy, lol....

I'm working at the YMCA. Yay for totally unintellectual summers...

...although I will probably be carrying a mini-library in my trunk.

HI ASEEMA I SEE YOU

I'm working ****ty jobs all summer. yessss

hahahah..... creeeepy. Ann this is supposed to be college CONFIDENTIAL!!! now im all out in the open, vulnerable and.... a little cold!

My friends and I are making a documentary this summer about the mechanics of our government. Then when school starts in september we'll be able to show the finished film to kids all over the city. The project's aim is to promote active youth involvement in politics and international affairs. Can't wait to get started.

Hey Jimmy, ever seen "Street Fight"? Now THERE is a political documentary! /random

I have about four more weeks of junior year left. How about you guys?

THIRTEEN MORE DAYS of junior year left. Oh my goodness did this year feel long.

We're done. School ended May 26, 2006.

I have three days until I'm out of school. I get out on thursday, and I don't have finals wednesday.

so anyone have their hearts set on one college?

Hecks yes. There's that one gosh darn perfect place called Stanford. :]

How about you?

Though I don't WANT to like it as much as I do, I'll be applying to Harvard SCEA.

HELL YEAH. There's a place called NYU Stern (I'm applying ED).

I don't want to like it as much as I do...because if I get rejected I'll cry until the end of the world.

I used to be set on Yale. Then I realized I probably wouldn't get in - especially since they seem to hate my high school while Harvard and Princeton love us - and decided to convince myself that it isn't the perfect school for me anyway.

Unfortunately, I've convinced myself pretty successfully. :

It's still my first choice, but now less so than before.
