My wallet would be a lot emptier though, seeing as how I would then race over to Stanford one weekend and buy out every single sweatshirt, shorts, pants, etc. that they have lol.

im terrified of my summer, lets just say i left most things for the summer including community service, internship, extended essay, job, and dual enrollment.w/e i guess it'll be worth it when i finally get accepted into fsu, uf or umich.

scared x_x

Ahh... this week is soo chaotic. Just finished 4 AP tests in 3 days, birthday/driver's test tomorrow (which means my uncle is coming over so we can go out for dinner), and then my last SAT II the day after!! Then two AP's next Wednesday (one self study)... ahh!

I've gotten to miss SO much class, though. On Monday I had AP's all day, on Tuesday I missed first half to study for Stats, and then I had Stats for second half, on Wednesday I had Calc, and then we got back so late that I only had one class. Today I had a full day, but we're not doing anything in any of my classes cause I'm in 5 AP's and they're pretty much over. Tomorrow I'm missing my first two classes for my driver's test, and then the rest of my classes are BS.

Oh and my Chem teacher left last Friday cause she's having triplets. Our sub for the rest of the year is the volleyball coach. He just sits there watching ESPN and curses at students once in a while (in a friendly way, though... like "you're *ting me"). I don't really mind, since I got some SAT II studying done AND played Kemps and Chinese poker. But if he curses at me, he is so getting fired cause I don't need to take * from a sub. Oh and we have more than a month left of school...! AND since we have sub we don't have lab anymore! Which means once a week I have almost two full hours of lunch.

This week is unexpectedly awesome. :p

If this is what peril feels like, I want some more!

^What do people do in their AP classes once they take the test? I mean most students, seniors are the exception, still have school up until june right?

I have a project as a final in every single AP class. Go figure.

in my friends' AP classes, they are doing NOTHING. just watching videos and vegetating until school ends. pretty sweet life, i must say. but they deserve it for all the late nights and hard work theyve put in for those classes.

AP Calc - learning BC/MVC topics with no homework or quizes
AP Chem - we have a sub for the rest of the year, so we're not doing anything; if our teacher had stayed, we would have done "fun" labs, including some orgo
AP Bio - research project
AP Lang - still the same stuff sans AP MC practices
AP US - project

In our classes finals were right after spring break, before the ap's...so NO ONE has been back to class...thank god after months and months of an incredible amount of b.s. busy work which in no way helped my score im happy its over. only thing to worry about is if i'll get my ib diploma.

Ugh. I'm just getting into things--I took my SATs in January, got a 2120 (730 M, 700 CR and 690 W) and signed up for SAT II Math I, Literature, and French for the June session, sat two of my three AP's already (AP Lang and AP Calc, still have Bio to go) and plan on retaking the SAT I's in October. My list of schools is as follows:

McGill Faculty of Arts
Barnard College
U Chicago
Boston U
UBC
Lewis and Clark
Another safety in the Northwest
U of Toronto?
University of Hawaii-Manoa because my mother says I have to--I'm from Hilo, Hawaii, so she wants the safetiest of safeties.

The big deal for me is merit based aid, so I'll most likely end up at McGill (Tri citizenship--Canada, UK, US) if I can get in. I hope so!

I'm doing a visiting of the northwest, so hopefully I'll see some interesting things. I'm really nervous though--where we go will decide what we'll make of our lives.

As for my AP Classes, my teachers are SADISTS. In my AP Lang class, we're reading novel after novel after novel--right now it's Of Mice and Men. In AP Calc we still have the cumulative final, and in AP Bio we're going to do all the labs we didn't do--I'm not looking forward to it.

^Come on dude.. Mice and men, its like 100 pages. Suck it up sissy boy. lol, j/k. Yeah I know how you feel. G'luck with all those novels.

I read Of Mice and Men in like 5 hours. That was in freshman year. We had to read it over spring break.

Yeah, it's super short. But see, we're still going to have to discuss the heck out of it, and then we're probably going to read the equally cheerful (cough) Grapes of Wrath, and other gems of American literature. I don't mind so much, it's just that I feel it's not entirely necessary in an AP Lang course.

Mice and Men? Go for it. Grapes of Wrath? I pity you. That's gonna be hell. I recommend sparknotes.

^sparknotes is the best thing that could've happened to high school students.

Pinkmonkey is also good,too... I've just realized that in a few weeks, we will have to start a new thread, and call it "FOR RISING SENIORS(Class of '07) WHO ARE OFFICIALLY ON THE PERILOUS ROAD"

Insert freaked-out screaming

lol. How did time fly by so fast?

omg. so true. i feel old, even if i'm not.
