For the College supplement, would a video game be acceptable?

The prompt asks for a "work of art" which can be interpreted in a very broad way. If movies are acceptable (I'm assuming they are, please correct me if I'm wrong :) ), would video games work? I have played some profoundly challenging games that have made actual impacts on me, I'm just a bit apprehensive about using them just because it seems a little immature. Thanks!

I don’t think the video games are per se off limits. The reading probably turns more on how the work inspired you to think or see things differently in your own life, and not so much on why you thought it was a good work.

Do not be afraid to walk a path less taken. Video games are certainly a work of art, and writing about your experience with a particular game can make for a great essay. Best of luck.
