For those of you admitted to Michigan State and UMich, was the financial aid package almost equal?

UMich offered a better aid package (not talking merit). Wondered if this was common.

It is probably the norm. Michigan has a large endowment for a public university and therefore more resources to provide financial aid.

UMich meets the need of in state students and they pledged to lower student debt by grant. I don’t think MSU can offer that.
