<p>For those of you who got off the waitlist, if you are accepting the spot offered to you, what college have you put a deposit down on that you are withdrawing from?</p>

<p>Here's a more interesting question (just to help those of us who are still on WL's):</p>

<p>Did you do anything to get yourself off of the waitlist? Write a letter? Get another rec? Call/visit? Or did it just sorta happen?</p>

<p>The worst thing you can do if you're put on a waitlist is just WAIT. I just got off the W/L at Villanova yesterday. I had been in contact w/the admissions guy weekly, sending grade updates, visiting campus, and continuing to express my interest in Nova. I think that really helped (plus my grades showed I was still focused).</p>

<p>i did the same as dbp08 and I got into UNC Chapel Hill and leaving NC State.</p>
