For those of you who think you may be border line for admission...

My daughter's application has been complete for about 4 weeks. She took the SATs again on October 1st. She indicated on her application that she would be taking them on that day. She is hopeful that she improved her score (although, she says she finds it difficult for her to predict)

She called Pitt on Thursday to ask if they had considered her application yet. She was told that they reviewed it then decided to wait for the results of the October SATs before making a decision.

This is a reach school for my daughter, so it was better than a rejection. Just wanted to let some people know if they took the October SAT and they are wondering if they will consider the scores....I guess it depends on if they believe they need to consider it.

Good luck to all!

Good luck to your daughter, Blue Hen!

Thanks so much, Sheriff821…I am a lot more relaxed with the whole process this second time around. I have learned that even if they don’t get into their first choice, it will be fine. Kids usually bloom where they are planted.

My son is putting an application in tonight. It is a bit of a reach for him and I am hoping that having his sister there will help him.

Can I ask what number you called to get that info? Because I took the Oct. 1 SATs as well…

CollegeJawn…She called the number that was on the email that provided her username and password. There are different numbers for different letters of the alphabet.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks, Bluehen!
I dropped my admissions rep an email. I appreciate it.
