For those who live close to home, but dorming

<p>How many times do you come home? Every weekend, or during the holidays?
If you're a rising freshman, how many times are you planning on coming home?</p>

<p>Just wondering.</p>

<p>D3’s school is less than an hour away. She came home maybe every 4-6 weeks freshman year, and spent a couple of weekends being pampered when she got sick (or sick of the dorm drama).</p>

<p>My roommate and I are both about a half hour away. I went home maybe once every two or three months for a day or so and my roommate went home every single Sunday plus maybe one whole weekend a month. It just depends how involved you want to be at campus. I was just talking to her yesterday about some people from school and she didn’t know any of them simply because she doesn’t spend as much time there as I do. She told me this year she wants to stay more to be more involved.</p>

<p>I’m an hour-ish away, which for me is close since I grew up in the boonies. </p>

<p>When I was a freshmen I came home once a month during the first semester and then every 5 or so weeks the second semester. After that I only came home for the holidays and family things. Occasionally a parent might come to visit me between home visits.</p>

<p>I go to school about thirty minutes away from home. My freshman year, I was pretty homesick and I wasn’t comfortable with my roommate so I came home almost every weekend or every other weekend. This past year I came home every 3 to 4 weeks to visit or do laundry.</p>

<p>My university is only about 20 minutes away from home. Im a rising freshmen and I plan to come home at least once a month and during family events.</p>

<p>I went to school an hour away from my home. Freshman year I came home about every 3 weeks. Sophomore year, every 4. As of the last two years, I’ve only been able to come home two or three times a semester.</p>

<p>i am about 90 mins. i go home a couple of times a semester. sometimes just for thanksgiving and then for christmas. it depends in the fall. in spring i go for spring break, then for easter</p>
