For Those Who Took Ib Math Hl

I recently took the IB MATH HL exam and unfortunately didnt receive credit, but now I'm faced with the dilemna of choosing which math course is right for me...a 5,6 or 7 on the exam places u straight into either math 231 or 325 but I gotta 4..any suggestions what I should take next year?? any placement guide I can find online or anything of that sort?

thanks in advance

what are you trying to accomplish? Pre-med reqs, math and science area reqs, something else?

Well if a 5/6/7 places you into Calc 3 and you got a 4 you probably belong in Calc 2. Now whether you want to take more math classes in college than just Calc 2 (higher level ones) or just stop with Calc 2, you'd take 132 or 122 respectively. But don't hold me to that, it just seems logical to me.

i thought if u didnt get the credit for it, you would have to take the placement.

I thought 5/6/7 places you into 132.

So, 5-7 gives you credit for 131. Take MATH 131 since that is Calc I.

unfortunately, there is no placement exam (at least to my knowledge.) and thus I am posed this dilemna. And I'm trying to fulfill my comm school pre-reqs but for now im in the College.

oh yeah and I read a discussion on facebook which said many students found 131 especially difficult and had to work much harder for there B than kids did for their A in 121!!
