for those who were waitlisted

only one got off the list today from CC (a transfer) and only one yesterday(SFS)… i’m losing hope! what about you guys? do you still have hope?

Hope the finaid works out for you Ealgian. My guidance counselor tells me that traditionally Georgetown has been pretty OK with finaid. =)

I also talked to my guidance counselor today about waitlist stuff, and he says that you have a right to ask them about your financial aid package when they give you the call. Although I agree that it must be downright confusing with the “Are you interested?” call lol. I’d be scared stiff that they would rescind if I asked.

And at Chocolat, at this point I’m still crossing my fingers, because I think that if they started notification in April, before the deadline date for deposits, I’m assuming that not as many people matriculated as they expected. However, it may also be out of politeness to the student; they might want to give them ample time to acclimate themselves to the school they have newly committed to. OK, I am just as worried as you! I know the waitlist acceptance rates shot up last year because Princeton/Harvard took out their early decision program. I hope that doesn’t fluctuate this year, as horrid as that may sound for their yield rate. The science part of my brain says it shouldn’t.

Good luck to your daughter! And guys, good luck on your AP tests this week!

Thanks sgc914  Good luck!

Anybody who got off the waitlist from southern California?

Thank you SGC914! Another day without a call… we’ve finally understood that she will be living in Washington DC but not at GT! It’s ok she can always apply again for graduate school!

I don’t think you guys should give up yet…it sounds like they’re probably making several rounds of decisions up until may 15th. I would assume they’re currently reviewing more applications and we should have another round of phone calls in a few days?

Hi everyone,
I’m still holding out on the waitlist, so far i’ve heard that we will receive responses by May 15th. But I’ve also heard there is an extended waitlist. Has anyone gotten accepted off the waitlist & if you have would you mind posting stats? Also, if you have any extra info it would be greatly appreciated!!!
