scholarships don’t come till March I don’t think.

swk:

No, not necessarily so. Some scholarships are offered now. Don’t ask me to explain how Fordham Admissions decides who gets one and who doesnt and when they are offered. I don’t know. But if you didnt get offered a scholarship now, don’t panic just yet.

Further, if you file a CSS form and later a FAFSA you may get grant money that is almost as much.

I live in NYC and I haven’t gotten any news yet…but somehow people all the way in Long Island got their letters? Hm. Getting intensely worried now. :O

My letter did not include any information about scholarships. I’m pretty sure they notify you about that at a later time. And for those of you panicking about getting in, DON’T! I got in with scores/GPA well below the average.

@ktharris- Thanks! I live in Bayside. About 20 minute drive from the Rose Hill campus in Bronx.

…as for the scholarships, the letter does not contain any info. It does contain info about a grant that some are eligible to receive. I think $6000 a year. Commuter’s Grant. I have no idea about others.

D3…did you not apply to Rose Hill?

Where is there a spot to click on applicant?

after you log in to my fordham it is one of the folder tabs

I also have an ID number, however, I don’t think that is any indication because it seems everyone on this forum has one

@ktharris, I did apply to rose hill. Maybe you’ll get the results tomorrow. The results are typed and printed on Dec. 15 according to the date on the letter. A large demand for EA so maybe tomorrow. If not, then the next day.

Did anyone in CA get their result yet!? I’m so excited!

Accepted today! No mention of merit money - does anyone know how it works?

hey guys! Congrats to all those who are accepted, and good luck to those who are waiting. If you guys want to, you can post your stats in the EA Decisions thread which will help future Fordham applicants . Congrats!

got accepted in maryland

GPA 3.9 uw, 4.2w

Relax people. Fordham sends out acceptance letters/deferrals etc in batches. You will all hear something very soon, if not today, tomorrow or Monday. This happens every year.

Again, NOT hearing about scholarships now doesnt mean you didnt get one. If you didnt file a CSS form, then you better do so IMMEDIATELY because they require a CSS form from everyone. Every application for Fordham is considered for scholarship potential. Generally, and ANECDOTALLY (unofficial), they look for SAT’s of 1400/1600 scale and up. There are exceptions, particularly for restricted scholarship funds.

The final word on scholarships is not made until the Spring. Some will hear now and some will hear later and some won’t get a scholarship…but may get a grant if they file a CSS and FAFSA.

In the meantime, just relax. And good luck.

As a parent, I am dealing with an anxious daughter who we are taking North for the holidays tomorrow.

Could anyone who has heard be so kind as to tell us when the envelope was postmarked? We live in Florida and I’m trying to get a sense of whether or not her response might come in the mail today. Otherwise…she will have to wait until after the New Year.

Thank you…Happy Holidays…
