Fordham 2015 EA Admissions Thread

I GOT IN!  SO HAPPY! Good luck everyone!

Congrats to everyone who got in. I’m in New Orleans, hope it comes tomorrow.

Nothing here in NY, anyone heard about Deferal and Rejections? Or only people who are accepted are going to hear first?

Accepted to Gabelli with Dean’s Scholarship

Got my letter in the mail today, accepted with dean’s scholarship (supposedly $10K or possibly more) (2210 SAT, 4.0 UW GPA, 4.21 W GPA, 800 U.S. history, 670 math 2). Anyone know what levels of merit aid Fordham offers? $10k seems kind of low compared to the cost of the school. It’s not my top choice but it’s certainly an option, although I can’t afford to pay $30k/yr to go to Fordham. Does Fordham typically try to meet full need as specified by FAFSA/CSS profile? I have not completed the CSS yet but I will do so in the next few weeks, but I know my FAFSA EFC will be close to zero.

Congrats to all those who got in and welcome to the Fordham family! File a FAFSA if you need more money. File the CSS now if you can.

If you have not heard, relax. They go out in batches. They had close to 10,000 applications this EA cycle! And the RD cycle is ongoing as we speak with a deadline of Jan 15.

Hi everyone! Congrats on everyone who was accepted and was granted aid that’s awesome!
Has anyone heard of anyone that got deferred or rejected? or just acceptances? I live up in Northern New Jersey and I haven’t received anything but a girl the town next to me has and she was accepted so needless to say I’m freaking out.

Also, hi. me again… does any know how many student they’ll accept from each high school?! there’s a number of students applying and I feel as if they won’t accept all of us.

I live in California, haven’t heard anything either :(

Accepted to the Gabelli School of Business with Dean’s Scholarship!!

2230 SAT
750 World History SAT II, 720 Frecnh SAT II
3.8 uw GPA
12/484 ranked (Top 3%)
11 APs
Many extracurriculars, leadership

I was wondering…I am a National Merit Semifinalist and the website made it sound like all semifinalists receive the ā€œSemifinalist Scholarshipā€ based on this quote
ā€œNominees are freshmen graduating from high school in the top 1% of their class, or semifinalists in the National Merit, National Achievement or Hispanic Recognition competitions who are also in the top 10% of their class. Jesuit Scholarship recipients must also be Jesuit high school graduates.ā€

…Since I’m a semifinalist and I’m in the top 10% of my class, does anyone know why I only got the Dean’s? Any other semifinalists who didn’t get the scholarship?
