At first I thought they wouldn’t, but I realized that there have been times where they started sending them out on thanksgiving! @Wishforcalpoly
Good to know. Thanks
Anything yet?
@St678557 nope, unfortunately
If they haven’t come out yet do you think they will come out?
@St678557 I sure hope so! It would seem weird to me for them not to send them out at all because they have like every single year. I’m not positive though!
i live pretty close to fordham so if they sent them out yesterday and i am receiving one then i would get it today. my mail hasn’t come yet but i’ll keep you guys updated.
Isn’t it an email though?
I thought they were sent through email but I’m not really sure
ooo i’m not sure i have heard of a couple of other schools doing it my mail but those are some on the west coast so i’m not sure!

Ughhh I just really want to know if I got into Fordham or not haha. It’s my number one school & the waiting process is more stressful than applying! I’m so excited to meet other people who got in too and to just start that new chapter of my life
Fordham does send letters ahead of the posted date, but they are not “Likely”-they are admittance letters. Here is the one my D received in 2015 and yes on November 23rd…
Dear D,
I have some very good news for you.
The Committee on Admission regards you as a truly outstanding applicant and has asked that I do two things. The first is to advise you now – in advance of the December notification date – that you will be offered admission to Fordham University for the Fall 2016 semester. Congratulations and welcome to Fordham College at Lincoln Center! The second is to remind you that we can provide an early financial aid package for you and your family by February 1st.
Now a few next steps:
We have received your CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (CSS PROFILE).
Provide any requested follow-up information on a timely basis to the Office of Financial Services.
File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) between January 1st and February 10th to complete the process for receiving up-to-date information on federal and state awards for which you might be eligible.
Fordham tries in every way to be helpful to our students and their families. We hope this early notification will ease the stress of both awaiting a decision and applying for financial aid. While you are waiting to receive your official decision notification, please review our admitted student website.
Your online decision will be available by December 20th. You have until May 1st to let us know if you will be enrolling at Fordham but if you would like to do so sooner, starting December 20th, you will be able to access the online deposit system to secure your place in the class.
Once again – congratulations!
Patricia Peek, PhD
Director of Undergraduate Admission
Hope this helps and I hope you get a letter soon!
Was this sent as an email or was it a physical copy?
I noticed that November 23, 2015 was a Monday, so there’s still hope!
It was sent via email.
@nassau1997 thank u! That was very helpful
I just read some past threads and it seems as though the letters (or emails) are sent out regionally to students with high stats so that they have time to register for/attend the presidential reception near their area. i am from NY so i unfortunately don’t think i’ll be hearing back until the regular date since there is a reception on long island in january. however, there are early-mid december receptions in fairfield, hartford, and boston so students in those areas may receive their decisions today or soon!
here is the link to fordham’s calendar for reference:

I believe it’s for financial planning not the reception. The year my D got in w/ an early letter she had a friend in CT and one in CA that received them on November 23 rd as well, but a local friend who did not- BUT was also admitted on the December date that year.
What do you guys think? Maybe they’ll start sending the letters out today?
