How generous is fordham with scholarship money?
I’m not very sure about that. With it being my top school, I would hope that they would be pretty generous. However, I’m definitely not going to get my hopes up because my stats are more of a match with their average stats instead of being much higher. I won’t really stand out when it comes to merit money.
I feel like Fordham has never really sent the letters out this late & im getting so anxious/nervous that they just won’t send them at all.
I called and was told that they can’t say if or when likely letters will go out, but they are working on apps
Thanks for the try @Wishforcalpoly
Me too @am2727
I never anticipated that it would be this difficult for me to wait for an admission decision lol! So much more stressful than what I expected! (Also exciting though)
I agree! @am2727
wowza, so it is the next day… and still nothing :))
Neither my cousin or sister got a likely letter and they both got in. Both received substantial merit $.
it seems as though absolutely nobody has gotten a letter yet which is weird to me. Maybe they aren’t sending them this year? I hope they do though
My son is a sophomore and is a member of the Honors Program at Rose Hill and has a full tuition scholarship due to his status as a National Merit Scholar and I know that he didn’t receive a “likely letter”. It’s super hard to wait (I know. I have a current high school senior waiting, just like you, and it is nerve wracking!), but don’t read anything into the fact that you haven’t heard yet. The acceptance letters for Early Action go out mid-December. Good luck to everyone and don’t let the waiting get you down!!
@aimster888
Hi, was your son invited to the honors colleges upon acceptance, or did he have to apply after? Also, was he a NMF, NMSF, or NMC Scholar? Thanks!
Have not gotten a likely letter, doubt that they are doing them this year. 35 ACT 4.55 weighted GPA
@PepperJo He was a Nation Merit Scholar. That means that he was chosen as one of the recipients of the final award. You cannot apply to the Honors Program at Rose Hill. They invite a few students (around 35 per year) to participate in the program. He received the invitation a week or two after his acceptance letter, but it was before the end of December. There is information on the Fordham website about the Honors Programs at both Rose Hill and Lincoln Center. There is also a separate Gabelli Business Honors program.
