Fordham Class of 2013/2017

Where can you find ‘Application Status’ on My Fordham?

https://admission.fordham.edu/apply/status

@ DRey24 - the link is on the email that you received acknowledging the receipt of your application.

Does awaiting mid year grades mean I got deferred?

We don’t know for sure right now.

However, scavenging through the old threads it says that the only time midyear reports are required are when you are deferred. However that is based on assumptions and you shouldn’t do that. Reason why I’m saying that is because my friend got into Brandeis last year and this is the same exact thing that happened to him and no, he did not get deferred.

Really the only thing you can do is wait for either the official decision or for someone who has been deferred to confirm with us.

bills1960…I emailed Fordham today asking for the PIN. They sent me back instructions on how to set up the my.fordham account (which I had already done). And then they wrote this:
If you are trying to access the Financial Aid section and a PIN is requested, we recommend that you complete the following steps:

Log off of the my.fordham.edu portal.

Clear Cache.

Reopen internet browser.

Log into my.fordham.edu

Go directly to the Financial Aid section in my.fordham.edu

If this does not work please call the Fordham University Help Desk at 718-817-3999.

This didn’t work for me. I’m just assuming that we will have to wait for the FAFSA to be officially filed. My daughter’s SATs are not nearly high enough for any large scholarship. But we went through the Student Aid Service to file early anyway.

what if I don’t have an accepted students tab on my.fordham.edu??? does that mean I didn’t get accepted, or did it not recognize my application??? Most likely just trying to look for a positive option.

RobertaPolsen, to answer your question, some people received acceptances and still didn’t have any notification online or by email.

My acceptance letter didn’t say anything about a scholarship, does that mean i’m not getting one at all or does fordham send scholarship notification at a later date?

Got the packet today in the mail!
I had not received an email or mail previously regarding acceptance status.
Acceptance and Dean’s Scholarship!
Quite a relief getting the first acceptance.
I know I’m going somewhere!

I was accepted today via mail and the mail included a paper saying that I had been awarded the Dean’s Scholarship which says that it is a MINIMUM of 10,000 a year. Does anybody know how much this could go up to?

*My online portal doesn’t have an “accepted” tab.

Srsly, the Mid Year Report thing popped up on my page too. Does this truly mean ones been differed or accepted? I’m shivering right now, by the way.

Mine just got it too. I’m sad.

iAmMarc, so it means deffered?! Is everyone certain of this? Jeez, Fordham way to go for letting em down easy -__-

Isaac, NO, it does not mean that it is deferred. This is only based on assumption and a mere thread found on CC. You will not know the final decision until you have the physical letter in your hand saying that you’ve been deferred… or accepted!

iAmMarc, thankyou so much! I can breathe again

Do we find out about the honors college later?

Oh, and I just received the NMSF scholarship.

I still have not received anything in snail mail or by e-mail. Nothing has changed on my portal either. Should I be concerned?

katemarie, I’d give it until tomorrow around 4pm (EST) then maybe If “we” dont get anything
theres an issue

DS received his large envelope today after being snet a heads up email notification in mid Nov and a financial aid service letter soon after. Went through the FAFSA steps but it doesnt actually get filed until after the new year so not quite sure what the advantage was or how it counts as an early file. To those of you who have not heard anything, I would give it at least a few more days. Mail times vary and at this busy mail time of the year, things can get hung up.
