Thing is, financial aid I got was horrible. FAFSA only gave me $17500 and total cost is around $60000. I don’t know many people who can dish out around $45000 a year, and I definitely don’t want to make my dad have to do something drastic like sell the house. I like Fordham a lot, but it doesn’t look like its going to happen.

General Comments:
Financial aid is the make or break but very happy to get the letter.

your username is priceless and describes exactly how my son feels. He will sometimes dictate posts or request information but can’t log on because it give him hives.

He is Rose Hill, math major

@Jamiecakes Congrats! With those stats, your son should qualify for a full tuition merit award at Fordham. My son applied EA and he was granted one.

Termah: Son found out via email send 5:01 pm on the 27th.

They said something about letters going out towards the “end of March” and I think that means snail mail.

His was a likely letter only definite “you are going to be offered admission…congratulations”.

I assume some of these likely letters will ooze out over the next couple weeks and then the batch of admission letters will go out officially in 3 or so weeks.

I don’t have that as an official thing, just my guess.

sovereigndebt, I like the advice you give about deeply examining websites, programs, and faculty credentials as opposed to looking simply at the USNWR rankings. Unfortunately, the latter is a mistake made all too often by prospective undergraduates.

How do you check your application status? I’m logged on the portal right now. But I’ve looked everywhere on the portal and I can’t find anything about my status.

I just found out about the global business honors program today too!!! Soooo excited cause that would’ve been a major dealbreaker. I’m extremely happy :)

Thanks everybody, and congratulations jj! :)

Omzac, I received the invitation in the mail today. I contacted Dr. Nasruti back in December (I was admitted EA) and he asked me to write a note to the committee.

I am sure your son will be selected too. :)
