nice. haha. That was clearly a joke.

Gotta say, as a attendee of Fordham LC campus in fall 2009, I hope that endlessrecession is not the norm when it comes to people at Fordham. I was one of the people who applied to NYU as my #1 and Fordham as my #2. That doesn’t mean I think Fordham is a bad school, for journalism and radio it appears to be absolutely great (My major), it’s just that NYU is a bit better academically (Look at any school ranking list).

This exchange made me laugh.

“I have a lot of friends that are in both NYU and in Fordham, almost every single kid in Fordham is trying to transfer into NYU, while the NYU kids are beyond happy with their choice.”

EndlessRecession Responds
“almost every single kid”… that’s just flat out false. I’ve never driven down Fordham road and seen students frantically running to the post office to get their transfer applications to NYU.

Yells at someone for overgeneralizing, but then wait!

EndlessRecession states
I have one final suggestion for nate: Please post your school’s name presently so that we and Fordham can be well advised that in the future they won’t make the mistake of offering scholarships to people and to a school where they are sneered and called “cheap”. There are many schools outside of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut where any scholarship to Fordham would be received with dignity and appreciation, welcomed in a difficult economic climate.

He does the same thing! Sounds like a hypocrite to me.

Also to prove to you I’m not some mystery figure who didn’t get into Fordham and has a secret agenda to destroy the school, my name is Michael (MJ) Amory. With your connections I’m sure you can find out if I got in or not.

oh stop it endlessrecession/nocousin. you are obviously the creep since you feel the need to make thousands of college confidential names to spread fordham around like it’s harvard.

honestly, i really liked fordham, and it was a great second choice for me. but seeing your posts on this forum makes me glad that i chose NYU. you’re just a creeper, point blank. drop the countless college confidential names and do something else with your free time.

Oh, wait… I thought nocousin had just changed her username and everyone knew about it, not that it was some pretend-I’m-another-person game. The writing style, the type of comments left…they’re exactly the same. It’s actually sort of insulting for anyone to believe we’d be fooled by a simple name-switch…

Nocousin/endlessrecession, we understand that you love Fordham very much. So do the people prepared to go there this fall (myself included), but even we can’t argue the value of an NYU degree vs one from Fordham. Like MJA said, that doesn’t make Fordham any less of a good school. It just makes them different. Like, just because Harvard is the top school in the country, doesn’t make Georgetown any less of a great university. Does that make sense?

And stephenn, please don’t let your opinion of Fordham be dampered by some anonymous zealot’s opinions. No one that I’ve met from Fordham has behaved in this manner, in fact, the people are actually extremely nice. We missed the last campus tour, and the secretary went out of her way to have a student take us around the entire campus, even though everything was over. It was awesome. And Mr. Farrell has made it clear that we should dissociate endlessrecession/nocousin from Fordham; they have no connection, really. But I’m glad that you’re glad you chose NYU. :)

Anyone who dislikes receiving a dozen emails each week asking you to fill out pointless surveys should not attend Fordham. Or at the very least, don’t give them your email.
Be nice to your inbox.
Heads up.

MJA, endlessrecession is just an overzealous parent who appointed herself “Fordam’s Ambassador of goodwill.” I have been reading her posts for several years when I first came to this board when my own child was applying to Fordham. Problem is “nocousin” changes her name every few months. She then takes a new identity and continues to post as a new person.

As nocousin is not a New Yorker, I’m sure you can count on your fingers the number of times she’s been on campus. If anyone is looking for accurate opinions on campus life, classes, NYC, living in the dorms, etc., I’d stick with the opinions from students who currently attend.

Our friend nocousin made a big deal about leaving this board several weeks ago, but then reivented herself as endlessrecession. Although, she is trying to be very helpful, the way she does it draws attention to herself to say the least.

Enjoy your time at Fordham.

Has she ever even attended Fordham?

No. I believe she posted that she first visited Fordham when her d was accepted in 2007.

Then that leans on the weird side. She visits the school a couple times and then proclaim expertise?
I thought she was an alum or worked there, all this time.
