Fordham University EA Class of 2019!

It’s biggest program is arts and media however it has a business marketing communication program that is decent so if I don’t get into NYU, Fordham, BU, Northeastern, Pace or Baruch, I will go there but that’s like worst case scenario/impossible lol.

@fazeeeeeeel first, thank you so much for making this thread - all o my questions have literally been answered by all of you!
-I applied EA to Pace (haven’t heard back), University of Miami (haven’t heard back), DePaul (accepted, but I don’t really want to go there), and Fordham (obviously)
-Fordham is my #1, but also sort of a reach :(( I have a high GPA (4.2/4.0), but my SAT score is under what Fordham usually accepts. However, after reading stats on Fordham’s website, my score is “in” the average for students who are apart of the Class of 2018.

 • I also applied to Boston University and USC (I know that’s almost impossible since Fordham is my reach, but I’m a legacy at SC, but doesn’t matter because I’d rather not stay in CA)

I’m so unbelievably nervous about this. I really don’t think I’ll get accepted because everyone else that has already been accepted has great stats, where mine are a little above average, but nothing special. I have quite a bit of EC’s and my teachers and counselor wrote phenomenal LOR’s. I also have a job and I’m hoping Fordham sees that my school is top/most difficult in the area (all of the other local school’s AP classes are pretty much equivalent to my school’s normal courses)…My essay is also pretty good. But I’m really having a bad feeling about this! :frowning:

@fazeeeeeeel‌ You and me are in the same boat. NYU ED I. No FA change. Fordham number 2. Also applied to Pace, The New School, Ithaca, Northeastern, and Baruch. Baruch is probably my number 3.

@spldnlvr‌ Would you mind sharing your SAT score or a general range?

@allegrotechie To give you an idea, on the Fordham website it says those who actually enrolled last year had an average between 1740-1830 (I know the lowest was 1740, not sure about the 1830 though because they took down the info since they redesigned the site).

@Osmany02‌ My situation is actually really similar to yours, Fordham is definitely my second option (after NYU) and if it doesnt work out then hopefully BU or Northeastern will even though I’m still worried because those are also difficult :/

I want to apply to Northeastern, but I don’t know if I should. Its a lot of money to apply and send scores, and I doubt I stand a chance in RD (unless I somehow did extremely good on this ACT I took yesterday, lol)

@fazeeeeeeel‌ that’s definitely true about the money aspect but it’s still worth a shot!. I just got such a good vibe from Northeastern though, the entire internship program is really amazing as well.

What’re the chances that decisions might come out tomorrow? And you’re right @vbg123, it doesn’t hurt in trying

What time should admissions decisions be available?

I know this was asked before, but do you think decisions will be sent out in waves or all at once? I’m thinking waves…Like they’d start coming out tomorrow and possibly end Friday? Any ideas?

Well, today I was notified of my rejection from NYU so now I’m really praying I get into Fordham!

Rejected…from NYU. Really hoping to hear about Fordham soon.

Just got rejected from NYU so praying for good news from Fordham sometime this week. PLEASE FORDHAM. And @spldnlvr‌ I think it might be waves?

Omg @allegrotechie‌ and @osmany02 I got rejected too! It’s ok, NYU lost you guys, not vice versa! Hopefully we hear some good news from Fordham this week

So what are the chances that decisions are coming out today?

I really hope it’s today…the wait is killing me!

Yea I’m hoping it’s today too or anytime before Wednesday.

Doubt today…maybe wednesday/Thursday? Someone wanna call and ask

Has anyone spoken to anyone from the admissions office recently?
