@miagaron @kuhlm44937. Accepted to Fordham LC as well. Did you guys declare your majors yet or undecided?
Accepted at Fordham LC
GPA: 3.72
SAT: 1470
6 APs
OOS (Ohio Private High School and Jesuit Catholic Elementary)
Undeclared on Common App
Unfortunately financial aid rules Fordham out for me. Shame that smaller schools aren’t able to cover need as well as larger schools.
For those who received the Loyola or Jogues scholarships, would you mind sharing your stats?
@18nyclin I have! I’m going to be a Comparative Literature major, but that’s definitely subject to change. How about you?
@miagaron I applied undecided, but I’m thinking of majoring in Natural Science.

Hi everyone! I was accepted to Stevens with a $24k scholarship to the Quant Finance program. I was also accepted to the Macaulay Honors program at CUNY Baruch, which gives a full ride. My other options are: RPI Lally($23k scholarship) and Fordham Gabelli($19k Scholarship). I’m leaning towards Stevens but I’m just looking to hear from others.
@tiffy35 Is it that Gabelli grants less scholarships than other Fordham schools? I saw many stem students with similar stats as business students received much higher scholarships…
@tiffy35 I’m glad you asked this question! We were wondering the same thing. Our high stats business kid got less merit than a few other people we know with lower stats who are arts & sciences. Weird.
has anyone been sent financial aid yet? if so, where did you receive it? i cant seem to find it anywhere…
@az103 It was at the bottom of the acceptance letter page
Daughter was accepted at Rose Hill (undecided) and awarded the NMF 4-year full tuition scholarship. 1590 SAT / 35 ACT / 4.3 GPA. She’s been accepted to several others (and rejected by the Ivies she applied to) but no other offer even comes close to that one.
For the individuals who received merit scholarships what were your stats? Especially those who received the Jogues and/or Loyola Scholarships
@CSem2022 I am very surprised that Temple rejected you with stats like that.
@EnchantedScholar my daughter was waitlisted too. 3.77 GPA, ACT 30
She did not accept a position on the waitlist. The waitlist is thousands of kids long and only a couple of hundred maximum will get in. Maybe less than 100. It varies from year to year. You can certainly write a letter telling them it is your first choice and if accepted you will go. But don’t hold your breath. The odds are stacked against you. Put down your deposit at another college. Select a dorm. Start looking for a room mate and don’t look back. If you get in you can look at it as a pleasant surprise.
Does anyone know what the average SAT score and GPA for accepted applicants is?
Has anyone heard back from the Tuition Exchange scholarship yet?
@lemmesleep I have twin sons. One got the Loyola with about 3.8 UW (not sure of the exact decimal) and 1430 SAT. The other got a Jogues with about 3.7 and 1370.
