Fordham University

Anyone have any info on this school? The good? The bad?

Any comments would be appreciated, thanks.

I used to live on Fordham Road for about 7 years. So I'll comment on just the surrounding area. I still go there often. There are parks close by that you can go to. There's the Bronx Zoo at walking distance (10 minutes) and then there's the Botanical Garden that's also at walking distance from Fordham. Not to metion Fordham University is right on Fordham road which is one of the more commercialized areas in the Bronx. There's a lot stores for almost all your needs. Keep in mind that while the majority of the populaton on campus is white there are many minorities outside campus. There's also two near by middle schools (MS 45 and MS 254) and a high school (Theodore Rosevelt HS) so I'm not sure how much that would affect you. Best part of it, which can be said about most places in the city is the transportation system. You have like 6 buses (BX 9, 12, 17, 22, 41, 55) available to you right outside the entrance on Fordham road. Plus you have the Metro-North right next to that entrance. I've been through Fordham University before and I've actually gotten tired of seeing it so much lol. But I must admit the campus is real nice. It's looks like the traditional green grass school. I'm applying there myself by the way. I hope that helps some what and if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Great, thanks so much. I really appreciate the response.
