Foreign Language Conflict

Hi everyone. I have a problem

at this point, my senior schedule cannot accomodate a 4th year of mandarin (honors or regular only, no AP, yet), BECAUSE:

  1. school limits core classes that students may take per year, by semester.
  2. religion is one of these core classes, and also required every year.
3)Three APs, one Honors, and Multivariable Calculus do not budge in my schedule (or rather, i choose not to let them)

Firstly, am I screwed for having taking this track (mandarin), or will colleges recognize that this language did not have many honors offerings (virtually 0 until senior year, of which class i cannot be a part of for the aforementioned reasons)

Secondly, How important is that fourth year of language in your opinion? Do “explanations,” verfied by counselors, work?

I am applying to college with 2 years french - I will graduate with either 2.5 or 4 years. I am applying to strictly engineering schools though - so I think it might depend on what you are going into.

prospective Biology major => med school..

I ment to say 2.5 or 3 years - and it won't let me edit my previous post...

free bump!
