Foreign Language for Plan II?

I was on the UT Admissions website, and I came to this page: https://admissions.utexas.edu/explore/prerequisites

It says that Plan II applicants should have “… courses in literature, mathematics (including calculus), foreign language and the sciences during each year of high school.”

Does this mean that if you don’t have four years of foreign language that you will automatically get axed? Or is there just less of a chance? Any input is much appreciated!

I think it means people with four years have a better chances hand you all things being equal. I doubt it is an automatic disqualifier. All you can do is give it your best shot.

@starrynight20 Don’t worry, Plan II is not that rigid! They are all about looking at the total applicant, not just one facet. It’s a recommendation not a requirement to have four years of foreign language. My son is in Plan II now and he did not take a foreign language his senior year, though he did have a challenging course load other than that.

@gettingschooled @collegefind Phew, thanks for the answers! I was pretty sure that they weren’t set in stone on that, but any confirmation is always helpful! Thanks again!
