I was looking at the requirements for foreign languages (letters and science) and it says 15 units/ 3rd year level of a language.

I have completed Spanish 1 and 2 at my CC, each worth 7.5 quarter units. Will that satisfy the requirement, or do I need to take Spanish 3 at Davis?

That’s weird, for IGETC UC Requires two semesters only. o__O;;

Course Completion in College; or the equivalent. A.B. and B.A.S. degreesequivalent of 15-unit level of proficiency in one language at UC Davis (e.g., Spanish 3 or Japanese 3). B.S degreenone, but as is required in the major program.

It says 3rd level, but it also says 15 units. After completing Spanish 1/2 I will have 15 quarter units completed for the requirement. Do you think that will suffice, or do I need to take Spanish 3?

It says as an example, so maybe not. I mean, I skipped from Spanish I to Spanish II and III in high school. If you completed those 15 then I’m sure you’re good.

E-mail admissions or wait for the UCD Rep to answer if needed…[:

Good luck!^^

Since this is a graduation requirement and not an admissions requirement I’m not sure what will meet the requirement. It is best to talk to an academic adviser during Orientation regarding this question.
