I took Spanish I in middle school and took Spanish II and III in high school.
I would have liked to have taken Spanish IV, but my grades in III were too low to continue.
Should I try a year in some other language? Or is just 2 years fine for schools?
I'm thinking mostly of UC's

When colleges provide number of foreign language years required or recommended they mean high school course level completed in a single language and not actual number of high school years. You have three years which is the recommended level for UCs.
