i am wondering does UCSD offer Korean as a foreign language class?
if yes, do you know if it is mainly just korean people taking it or is it more diverse in the class.

what about french, german, and italian? and which in your opinion is the best to take (basically im sayin which is the easiest one) and has the best professors and least work to do?

most freshmen choose to continue with the language they picked up in high school instead of starting over. this considered, there's no "easy" class.

and fwiw, my chinese friend took korean 1 (ltko 1a/1ax) for fun ... but then she married her korean boyfriend, so maybe there were some ulterior motives.

yea, I'll probably take Korean for P/NP just to improve my lame korean speaking skills (only got a 760 on the Korean SAT II). And I'm pretty sure that a majority (90%) of the students taking that class will be of korean descent since non-koreans don't really seem that interested in the korean language for the most part.

ok
they offer korean... in first year (for the koreans that dont know how to speak or other people) and then second year (for koreans that know how to speak and right as stuff) but yeah

but a majority of it will be koreans taking the class

I'm Korean (fluent) and am taking my 4th year of spanish. I want to learn a new language like Mandarin or French, though. I don't know if I have time for it though... UCSD has a very large language/linguistics department. You have many choice and they also offer independent study.
