hello former transfers...
what are your stats? i trying to figure out where I want to transfer to and thought id check out georgetown.

same here...i'd like to know if i have wat it takes. i have a 3.8 out of high school, 32 on the ACt, i'm in university of delaware honors program and solid extracurriculars....100 hours of hospital volunteer time, wind ensemble clarinetist, many benefit music performances, democratic committee intern, legislative intern, legal office clerk...any thoughts from former transfers?

it takes a good college gpa and solid academic interests...are far as canyon is concerned...you seem to have a nice list of things listed...but who knows what admissions committees want anymore.

i am entering my first semester at udel honors and strive of course for a 3.5 or better...is this a respectable institution to apply for transfer from ??/ I'm also a legacy...my father went to the gtown college, where i will be applying.

i have really similar stats to canyon minus the legacy add a couple of leadership in a few clubs...w/ a two bad marks on my transcript

where do u go to school right now and what year are you??

it doesnt really matter where you come from...its more about what you did at your 1st school and how you can show potential at georgetown. your essays will really help in that aspect.

ill be a freshman in a couple of weeks. thanks for the advice beechbum

canyonbrad, it sounds like you should be fine but essays or obviously important.

My hs stuff is solid but I'm a bit concerned because my uni marks aren't as strong. I have high B's which basically translates to about a 3.5 or a 3.8 (I went to a cdn university) but I've been out of uni now for 1.5 years gaining international experience (I moved to London when I was 19 to work). I'm hoping that will help me on my application along with strong essays.
