FPF Math 1B Curve?

Does anyone know if Fred Bourgoin ever curve his class? I'm currently taking Math 1B in FPF, and while I'm not having an extremely hard time, I'm finding it difficult to get an A due to time crunches during quizzes/exams. I currently have a B+, and I'm not sure I can raise it to an A at the rate I'm going at.

Usually he doesn’t, but timmy said he MIGHT by a couple percent depending on how things go (reason being he gives ec on tests… idk if he will on this one). Honestly, quizzes aren’t that much of your grade - you can get an B-/C average on quizzes, B- on the 1st midterm, a 90 on this midterm and 95 on the final, you will still have an A- without a curve. It’ll be different based on your averages…seeing as you have a B+ I took a guess haha Don’t worry…yet.

I feel ya, but it’s more like I’m worried about my grade. Like, I know my stuff for math and all, but I’ll lose points from not showing work and/or getting simple algebra off. That, and waking up and being attentive for an 8am class ain’t the easiest thing to do.

ARRRGHHH **** that midterm. I am beyond ****ed now. 12 points? WTH??? We have never had to do proofs before!

simple algebra? yeah. 1st midterm…for me apparently 2 divided by 3 was 3/4. I couldn’t even isolate y. 4y=x+3…y = x+7…***. And I just said the ratio test was inconclusive when I got 0…and then said conditionally convergent. So yes…I feel your pain

Dude. I have a C average on quizzes, got a 81 on the 1st midterm. 99 on homework… but that 2nd midterm was stupidly hard. I’d be very happy with a B+ at this rate.

I thought FPF math was easy. Guess not.

Another 1B fpf-er! haha…but on the bright side, 12 free points - and we aren’t all stupid for not being able to prove it. I heard he may end up curving this one (not for sure though)…well…think about how much worse it would be on campus!

The answers are up btw…if you didn’t look already

I just want a B or B+. Sigh.
