Frats Revealed at Cornell: Astonishing Testimonials

yea, tons of coke there.

ok so which houses aren't full of heavy drugs? i dont mind weed, but i dont want to be around a lot of people doing heavier things.

are frat dues more expensive than general housing?

frat dues (social, room, board, national) are the same or cheaper than regular housing for the most part. most frats are willing to work out something to help you if finances are an issue.

Jasonsk, from my experience visiting many houses, if anyone uses hard drugs it is behind closed doors bc people obviously dont want their house to get that reputation. i have plenty of friends in alpha delt and to say they are a "huge coke house" is an overstatement unfortunately perpetuated by hearsay. i would make sure you join a house with a reputation that you are ok with, but do not take everything you hear as the truth. many frats will perpetuate rumors about others to discourage you from joining rival houses. i found many things i had heard about my house to be untrue and i am glad i didnt listen to them. it is most important to join a house with guys you like, these people will become some of your best lifelong friends, and if they are people you like and respect, they should respect your own personal views towards life, drugs, girls, politics, etc.

pledging a fraternity was once described to me as "the most fun you wouldn't want to do again." I think this describes the experience very well. Tons of fun, tons of memories, but god I wouldn't want to go through it again.
