Fraud in some Asian countries for SAT Testing? I suspect there is.

I suspect some Asian country students are kicking (native and non-native Asians) our ass. Remember there was an article that one of the Korean student saw the exact copy of the SAT test before. This was a story from few years ago. Something is really going on. Recently, one of my Dad's Chinese friends was saying that the Chinese (in Mainland CHina) conduct some underground class in Summer for American born Chinese students. The may be supplying teh actual test questions. Who knows? No wonder some of my Chinese friends are scoring 2300 in SAT. It is not because they are smart but they know how to beat the system and their system is so damn corrupted. Something is very fishy. I hate CB administering exams in foreign countries where the system is so corrupt. They have to stop giving TESTs. They banned GRE in India and China. They should do something about SAT. There is a big scam going on now.

Whatever. At least I know my 2300’s are legit <3

ha well that sucks. At least for international students, the competition is crazy anyways. There is a quota on how many kids get in from foreign lands

To tell the truth, it’s really not that hard to cheat in the US either. Unlike standardized tests take in college, SAT test centers have poor security since most of the workers are volunteers or paid low wages.

^ how do students cheat anyway? i honestly can’t think of any ways they could…

^ off of each other, at least for the SAT.
i dont think it’s possible to get a copy of the SAT before-hand unless you are VERY connected and VERY lacking of a moral fiber.

^but aren’t there different forms of the test? ie different order of questions?

^ yeah, but that usually wouldnt hinder a person ,whose proctor doesnt care, TOO much. :P

Gosh darn Chinese! Them hootin’-tootin’ rapscallions be making us look like a buncha idiots!

Come on now.

@satacer: Please, don’t blame everything to other people. You accuse SAT testing in Asian countries (like mine) cheating, fraud, blah blah. Why don’t you just take a test here? You’ll see that the testing administration here is not as “corrupted” as your biased imagination built up.

I don’t know about your example, but I DO know that the Chinese government now forbade the SAT to be held in China, and even if the Chinese students have to take the test in another countries, they still get high scores. How do you gonna explain that?

One more thing, cheating exists everywhere. Don’t take it for granted that only in our regions, Asian regions, cheating has the environment to develop. Instead, spending more time to practice your skills will be better for ourselves. The cheaters (if they really have enough shamelessness to cheat) can get high scores for now, but never in the colleges if they keep cheating like that. So what is the reason to be ****ed-off, if we know that those cheaters will never succeed with their fraudulent habit?

Satacer: You display the ignorance that is the root of the reason other countries dislike America. You have absolutely zero proof but your biased opinion based on stereotypes. Furthermore, rather than complaining about other kids and things you can’t control how about you study the amount of hours these kids study to get these scores?

I used to go to an international school in China, and I know plenty of people that go to american/international schools in parts all over China too
the testing is strict as hell, and they actually monitor your calculator when you take the tests. They check your programs and make sure they’re legit as well

So I agree, this is just a really judgmental stereotype

It would’ve been so hard for me to cheat off of anyone for the following:

Proctoring is pretty good; I saw one girl get her test disqualified for not putting down her pencil EXACTLY when the clock hit the end of the time period.

I got the highest score in my school, so the odds of someone knowing an answer that I didn’t are low.

They assign seating and give out tests with swapped orders to prevent cheating.

Dunno what kind of test centers y’all go to >.>

I guess you could cheat if you knew someone deep inside the system, but I dont think that foreing asian stdents do that, I think it’s mainly hard work, I mean have you ever seen them go at it (studying, crazy.) :D

I read on internet and learned one girl who got a full ride to one top university in America, turned around, she appeared in her country’s tv shows with her rich home background! Her mom appeared and answered the interview too.

Lol. He’s probably sad that he ONLY got 2350 when he wanted 2400 :frowning:

The Asians work for it. Don’t be frustrated that you cannot measure up to their standards. This seems to be more like an unimportant personal rant of yours rather than the ‘discussion of an issue’.

LOL!!

Asians are SMART!!!
just deal with it XD
<< I’m not Asian btw =P

Asians are smart!!!
Hahahhahahahahaha please man dont make me laugh, if they dont study they fall in their faces. But they try really hard, thats the reason they get good scores.

Cheating on the SAT doesn’t make sense anyway; you just get admitted to a school too academically advanced and then you flunk out.

I am overwhelmed by the evidence you give:
-There was an article that one of the Korean students saw the exact copy of the SAT test before

 • Dad’s Chinese friends said that the Chinese conduct some underground class in Summer for American born Chinese students. They may be supplying the actual test questions. Who knows?

Wow, so your Dad knows a guy, who knows that someone in China conducts some classes. So logically, this must mean that the Chinese students are cheating.

What is the connection between Korea and China? Why bring the entire Asian continent into it?

If you wrote your essay with this sort of evidence to support your statement, no wonder your ass is being kicked by Chinese students!

You actually have friends who are Chinese?
