Freak accident?

Ok so I get home from school today, go check the mail and find a letter from Who's Who Among High School Students. And to my surprise Ive been nominated. Now Im just youre average 3.3 gpa kid with few ec's so how in the world did I even get noticed. The top 5% of high school kids are selected for it. Def. not me. Im wondering who else got a letter like this and what kind of honor it is.

i dunno about it, i got one when i had a 3.9, i think its mainly to get you to buy their stuff though...

ha, my one hundredth post!

it's a pretty ******** honor from what I've heard. Note all the paraphanelia you can buy for the ridiculous amounts of money. I was on some **** like "National Honor Roll" and my guidance counselor told me to not even mention it.

would it be worth just filling out the forms to be in the book without paying for the book or would just filling out the forms be a waste of time too?

oh yeah i heard about that. dont get too into it...its "one of those things"

I got the book, it's fun to have, just don't plan on using it for colleges.

Who's Who Among High School Students is mainly a commerical scam. But it'll be nice to see your name in print =)

Don't bother getting the book or certificates. They are overpriced junk.

Colleges realize that anyone breathing can get into that "Who's Who" so don't list it as an honor.

To avoid facing felony charges, Who's Who has to give the scholarships that they promise to so it's worth it to fill out the materials for consideration. You don't have to buy anything to be considered for their scholarships.
