What are your opinions?

What is it?

(Sorry, I don't dance much.)

It's okay if it's a little dirty. Dancing is no fun if it's not a wee bit inappropriate. But when it looks like people are having sex on the dance floor, and girls are holding up their mini-dresses so that guys can feel them up or showing their thongs, it's gone too far for my tastes.

Errr..grinding. It's otherwise known as "inappropriate dancing," stuff that you'll get kicked out of school dances for. Essentially the rules at my school are, guys/girls have to be 6 inches apart. Anything closer is "inappropriate." People get away with it all the time though, not really a big deal

It's gonna happen no matter what administrators say so I don't really care.

No thanks .

I think it's gross, but w/e. As long as you don't do it to me, who am I to judge?

^ I think that you are allowed to judge when you start seeing some Britney Spears moves.

I like it. You could call me a fan. Our administrators don't care.

I think it's ok at prom until some level. It will be appropriate if you pass that level.

For example, at prom, for the first time ever in my life, I was dancing with a girl. I was dancing close to her but did not do some inappropriate moves. I thought it was ok.

My school's dances got cancelled last year because of "bumping and grinding" at our homecoming dance, and we were ****ed. The seniors had to fight to get their prom back.

If you think about the kind of music that is usually played at dances, the bumping and grinding makes sense. How else are you supposed to dance to most rap or pop music? I say that schools should play more techno, classic rock, swing, jazz, or whatever music you can actually dance to. Or better yet, instead of having a dj, have a jazz band with maybe some dance instructors who can each students how to actually dance.

I think it's fine as long as you don't do anything that inappropriate. My school administration doesn't care about grinding. At the school dances, my assistant principal sits at the top of the bleachers in the gym and watches supervises, and doesn't care unless you go too far, and I guess he's kind of accepted that this is how kids dance now.

i always laugh when people call it "freak dancing." hahahahahahaha. but yeah, i like it i guess.

I think it is gross.

When I went to Prom I thought it'd be normal dancing and that the freaking dancing only happens on MTV. Boy was I wrong. Even the people I thought would be more modest weren't. It was a bit freaky. But later I adjusted to it and it was fine.

I went to a State Government sponsored weekend legislative event... some people only went for the Dances--there's always a theme dance and an "Orgy Dance." I almost fainted.... Bumping and grinding is gross and degrading. We had to sign all these statements that we wouldn't do anything sexually suggestive... if that isn't, what is? The director was walking around and I said "I know you see this." She asked me if I had seen it before... and if there was a name for it. I said "Yes.... but typically it doesn't involve clothes."

why would you try to interfere with other people's fun by talking to the director? thats kind of uptight, im sorry.

bumpin and grindin is so much fun and just another way of dancing

The director walked in and looked very puzzled.. she walked around like she was almost in disbelief. She walked by so I said something. I'm not sure what's so confusing though....

Honor Statement+Let anyone come to program+Dark Hotel Ball room+loud music+Teens=Bumping and grinding

And sex is just another way of meeting people and exercising.

umm as much as you try to say it is, its definitely not the same as sex (which there is nothing wrong with)

it may be provokative and "inappropriate," but i dont see why that would bother you.

Grinding's fine...
