I was wondering
If you took college course during the summer before senior year of high school, will those grade effect you college gpa?..because they are college course

I doubt that grades like this would be considered part of your college GPA. Of course, if you include this info as part of your college application, they will be considered....

no, most colleges do not carry over your GPA even though they might carry over your credit. For example, i had about 60 community college credits by the time i graduated high school and my current private LAC accepted 37. However, my GPA did not carry over. thank god! haha.

hope that helps! also, if you are not sure just ask the university you are going to. and if it really means that much to you not to have that ONE class effect your GPA, then just don't accept the credit.

the answer is for sure no. i am a first-year at barnard and took some UC courses over the summer before my senior year. i didn't do all that well, and I here at Barnard i get the course credits but the grades dont affect my GPA. I am 100% sure about this because i asked my first-year advisor, who also happens to be the dean of all studies (lucky me!)

groylj2, thanks for giving us some clarifying info. And, here's to Barnard's great advising!!! One of the things I appreciate most about the school...and my d does as well.
