I have no idea what respectable Film School I'll be able to get into.
The schools I'm looking at right now are:
Chapman University
Boston University
New York University (For film, the average UW GPA is 3.3-3.4)
Florida State

To be honest my greats aren't so bad that I'd be thrown out automatically, but I'm still a bit weary. Also, I'm wondering what other decent colleges I'd be able to get into.

Alright, here are my specs...

Weighted GPA: 3.6
Unweighted GPA: 3.4
ACT: 29
SAT: Projected to be 2000
Extracurriculars: Three years of theatre (tech and lead roles), Founder and President of Film Club, Junior Statesmen of America, Human Rights Club, and I also write movie reviews for my high school paper.
Volunteer work: I volunteer at the local library and at the humane society.

My GPA is kind of low right now, but that's a result of a mediocre second semester freshman year and a mediocre start to sophmore year. My grades dipped during these semesters do to some personal problems that I'd rather not delve into.

Thankfully, where other kids with super high GPAs that are trying to get into film school falter, I redeem myself. Over the past four years I have directed over 5 hours of content. I directed and edited a 40 minute long short film and a one hour piece of visual supplement to a musical act.

I have many hobbies and interests. Despite the dismal writing you see before you, I can write one hell of an essay. This semester I'll be getting a 4.0 unweighted and a 4.4 weighted gpa. Next semester, almost all of my classes are either AP or weighted, so my weighted gpa should be brought up to a 3.7 if I keep my stride. What I need to know is, where the hell can I go to college with these bursts of mediocrity?
