<p>They sent out an email saying they got my application and said I would hear back via email by march 1st if I’m a semi finalist so I’m assuming everyone will hear back by then. Definitely not expecting them super early, but you’ll hear back very soon.</p>

<p>Hey guys. I think they notified all of the semifinalists already. I was notified that I made it to the next round a week ago. They make semifinalists complete 10 extra essays. The finalists will be notified on March 9. Just thought I’d let everyone here know :)</p>

<p>I am telling the truth. I created this cc account to see if anyone else was selected as a semifinalist for the FDDS program. I wouldn’t make all of this info up. That’s pretty silly 
A current scholar called me and told me I was a semifinalist around 2 weeks ago. Maybe one of the scholars will notify the rest of the semifinalists tomorrow.</p>

<p>Congrats, yoyo. Many awards work similarly. Those who make it to the next round are notified, while others will be sent regrets later. The committee will often go thru the entire process before notifying all applicants. Job interviews often work the same way… You apply but don’t hear for a while even though semi and finalists are interviewed. It may have to do with sending out notifications all at once.</p>

<p>Rejected here too. I wasn’t at all surprised after not hearing by March 1st, but it’s still a bit of a bummer to know for sure :(</p>

<p>We didn’t get denied admissions, we just got denied from the scholarship. I have a 33 ACT and a 4.06 weighted GPA. FDDS I have heard is based a lot on your writing and where else you applied for college.</p>
