So I do not have the money to buy a pass for parking permit right now and won't until probably october. Are there any streets close to the school that I can park and are under a mile walk from the school?

i know in the street that goes along the front of the school where the dorms are and across residential housing is a street everyone parks ever. it just gets filled up mega quick cuz a lot of kids use it and theres parking rules on a sign i believe, but dont know what they are exactly

I’m sorry, I am new to the whole area so I don’t really know what street you are referring to. Is it bellflower or E. Atherton St?

Bellflower. You can also see about volunteering at the VA hospital next door. I was told by a director there that if you do enough hours per week/day they will feed you and let you park for free while you are at class.

Nice thanks for the info. I went to the Veterans Orientation today and parked on Bellflower! Doesn’t seem like that many spots are available but i didn’t do down the entire street.

Parking is a mess the first 2 or so weeks. After that, it should be easier to find parking spots because less students will be going to class.

Power of one, I was gonna show up about 8 am and just go to the swrc and work out before my class at 11 am on the first day (and everyday) do you think that is early enough to get a decent spot?

Usually 8am is more than early enough to find many parking spot, but I’m not sure about the first day. You might not find as much available parking, but you should be able to find one.
