<p>What's Freeborn Hall in Unit 1 like? I'm considering putting "Unit 1 Substance Free Environment" as one of my housing preferences because I REALLY want to live in a unit and I think this may increase my chances? Does anyone recommend Freeborn Hall?</p>
<p>That's funny. I applied for a double in Freeborn because I also thought it would increase my chances of getting a double. Apparently it did and I live here now!</p>
<p>I find that it's pretty quiet. But there's been a major problem with their water this year. Apparently, the main water supply running under the lobby had a leak, so we haven't had a lobby for three months. And of course, there have been other complications arising from this issue, like having no hot water for one and a half weeks right after spring break.</p>
<p>So I don't know. You would probably have a better chance of getting in, but the infrastructure really seems to be falling apart in this building.</p>
