I was just curious what times most people took classes. how possible is it to be done with classes by 2 or 3 pm on MWF? I know certain classes are only offered at certain times, so there is no definite answer but in general how easy is it to do this? Im going into Elec. Eng. if that helps any.

You’ve probably heard the someone say “I took X hours last semester.” For most people, that X is about 14 or 15 hours. What this means is that you are in class for just 14 or 15 hours a week (except lab hours which are doubled). So if you do the math (15 hours / 5 days=3), that’s an average of 3 hours of class a day. This means that if you’re willing to start at 8 AM you can be done by 1. Also, a single course is normally distributed over MWF or Tuesday-Thursday so what may happen, for example, is a student balances more classes on the Tues-Thurs block resulting in less classes on the MWF block. So voila, out of class by noon on MWF!

It’s a radical departure from the 6 hour high school work day but don’t let that make you think your workload will be any lighter. What you once spent 2 semesters (1 year) covering now gets done in half the time.

yea I completely understand that! im taking ap calc bc which is almost going even faster than college since we have to be prepared for the exam which is about a month before school ends. Thanks for the feedback!

I start classes at 10 and I’m done by 2. It’s extremely possible, just make sure you go to the earliest orientation date you can so that you can sign up for classes first!
