I’d vote Brittany or Founders. Brittany is closer to campus, but Founders is 3 blocks closer to food than Brittany. The best dining halls are Palladium and 3rd North, on 14th and 12th streets respectively. Founders is on 12th, Brittany is on 10th and one and a half avenues over from Founders. Social life is roughly equal everywhere, though there is definitely more community on explorations floors. Brittany and Founders also have the bonus of nicely sized rooms, and Founders is relatively new, while Brittany was renovated a year ago. Brittany has a mix of doubles and triples as either single rooms or in suites. Founders is all doubles, some single rooms, some suites.

Goddard is the closest dorm to classes, and is part of the residential college which provides a built in community. That being said, sometimes it’s nice to not be on top of all the academic buildings all the time, and also the rooms in Goddard are TINY. Goddard is all doubles in single rooms I think?

Weinstein is centrally located, very close to classes, with the food court (upstein) on the ground level and an all you can eat dining hall (downstein) downstairs. The food has improved greatly, and the food court hosts the only Chick-fil-a in NYC. That being said, the rooms are tiny and they kind of look like prison cells. Pretty much all single room doubles as far as I know

3rd North: nice in that it has a dining hall, but it is tied for being the farthest from campus with UHall. UHall and 3N are very similar, with again, fairly small rooms. Mostly doubles in 2 room suites, some doubles in 3 room suites (in 3N), possibly some triples as well. These are the only freshman dorms with kitchens, so if you want a kitchen, go here.

Rubin: not a fan. Weirdly located, dining hall there is disappointing. Also, no AC. Doubles, triples, and low-cost triples, single rooms only, no suites as far as I know
