Who even knew picking a dorm would be such a hard decision. Okay so i will be an engineering major in the fall of 2014 and I am trying to see what dorm to stay in. My choices are Bledsoe/Sneed for the engineering learning community and all male, or the other freshman and coed dorms. What do you think is the best dorm for a freshman from your experience; should i join the learning community or should i go freshman and if so which one. Thank you for your input.

I’d go w/ the engineering learning community dorms. Since its your major, I’d think it’d seem much more relaxing and comfortable being around other students who share the same interest as you. So there’s easier chances to set up study sessions w/ others.

If you want for the fall semester live in the learning comm. dorms then for the spring semester live in the freshman/coed dorms.

Thank you for your reply. I’m starting to think that is the smartest decision.

I, personally, am going to the engineering learning community dorms for basically the reason Cee said. Plus it will be much easier to find people with my same interests as well as a study group. I think it is a much better choice (academically speaking).
