Freshman Housing?

For any current students: which residence halls would you recommend?

I am a parent
East Campus is more lively buildings are older and you are closer to classes and the foot ball stadium.
West is quieter and some of it I think is a bit newer. There are no suites available for Freshman. From what I understand all Freshman housing rooms (even honors) are small with a bathroom down the hall.
My D’s room is tiny. You can stand in the middle and touch both beds.
I don’t think there is much parking at East either? If you are going to bring a car you may want to check

DS lives on the west side(Fitten) co-ed by floor. His dorm was renovated in 2012. I think it’s nice. All the dorm room on campus are going to be small. I would look at the descriptions and when the dorms were last renovated. Also there are a few dorms that don’t have laundry in the building and you have to go next building to do it.May not be a big deal for you though. I’ve walked the campus and his classes don’t seem very far from his dorm. It’s also by the CRC and there is a field that kids play on in back of it. As a parent I like Fitten because there is some parking right in front of the building for when I pick him up or drop stuff off for him. Although he says the food at the closest dining hall isn’t as good as the others.lol

East Campus is 100% where it is at. Youre next to TWO dinning halls(one being Britain the best one), the football stadium, and super close to the library, and Clough(the best places to study). Youre also next to the Greek sector if which is super convenient if you go greek. If your a guy live in Towers but other than that Matheson, Perry, Field, and Harrison is where its at on East
