Wait, how are you a 2010 hopeful if you’re a freshman…? I’m confused.

Edit: And yeah, your sched. seems fine to me…

I think your schedule is good:) What are your concerns with it? It seems that you’re on the right path, no worries. Good luck in high school!:)

your schedule SUCKS lol jk i guess its fine i would take a different language because everyone takes spanish and it also seems kind of boring not one fun class why arent you taking pe?

Sorry about my name thing. I kind of messed up the date part. lol

and I’m not taking PE because I’m going to transfer to a new high school so why waste a class period in PE when I dont have to focus on just graduation requirements.

At the school I’m at now they only offer Spanish and French so I cant take like Latin or Chinese or German but at the new school I’m going to I may switch it up and take Arabic or something.

Good schedule. It is strong in the core classes. I’d say you are doing good. Ya, if you’re school offered more languages though I would choose a different one (I took Latin). Good luck in high school!

Your schedule looks great for freshman year. And how are you a 2010 hopeful?

Yeah, I’ll say you did… lol, honorstudent is asking the same q. ='P

You know, most high schools do have a PE requirement, so unless you’re doing sports you might want to consider dropping journalism/creative writing for P.E. so you can get it out of the way.

And if you’re already taking Spanish II, it would be rather pointless to switch to Arabic (which I imagine is much harder, considering it has its own alphabet) because you’ve already invested time in it…

Why are you actually planning on transferring to a new high school? It’d be best if you could stay at one high school…Or so I thought.

^S/he messed up the date.

And I wouldn’t choose a different language. S/he is already in Spanish II Honors…
I chose to take both Latin and Spanish though.

Anyways, your schedule looks great. Freshman year is easy and generic. Everyone takes the same classes so don’t worry about it.

@rchhay - If I get accepted to a private high school then why waste time in PE at my current school just to get graduation requirements for the school I’m transferring out of?(hopefully this makes sense)

And I meant by switching a language, I meant taking Spanish 3 and 4 in upcoming years then if I had time in senior year to try out a new one like arabic.

And I really want to try to transfer to a top prep school just for the overall experience, college counseling, all the opportunities that would arise from it, and the more experienced faculty. My school right now is ok but its not excellent in any category.

Yeah, but I think even your private high school is going to require a physical ed. requirement. Although, you probably know the requisites better than I do, so I shall concede.

I would definitely have to agree with you on that, with the school issue. Although I’m not planning to transfer to a private school… Odd though, that my current high school is supposed to be ranked in the top 100 and it has people who got F’s in middle school… Hm.

yeah the private high schools im looking at do have a PE requirement for each year

but if u transfer there u only have to have 3 years of PE to graduate(one year in sophmore, junior, and senior year) so even if I did take PE in my current school it wouldnt matter for the graduation requirements of my new school i would still have to take 3 years of it so its nice to work around the system and not have to take PE in my freshman year (why am I still talking about a gym class? lol)

Uh, also if you don’t get into that school? I don’t know how competitive it is, but that’s just another factor…

& I already conceded to you on the gym class issue. No worries. ;)

just to argue some more - Im applying to about 5-8 others so I’m like 99.99% guaranteed a spot in at least one of them. Sorry if I didn’t make that clearer before.

Oh, well I suppose that would certainly help… Best of luck.

Thanks!! =D

actually I am not sure where you are located, but I am pretty sure that the state of Texas recently dropped/lowered its requirements for p.e. in order to graduate hs

oh but I guess that wouldn’t matter for private school or whatever, nevermind lol
