I have a simple question.

I was rejected by OSU Columbus. With a 3.6 GPA and a 27 ACT with good EC’s, I thought I would get in. However, I was sent to a branch campus and was offered a good scholarship.

Since I am probably going to attend another public school in Ohio, I was wondering if it was at all possible to transfer to Ohio State midway through my freshman year?

Yes, but if you do, they will also look at your high school grades and ACT/SAT in addition to your college grades. Given your GPA and test scores, that shouldn’t be a problem for you. Just get a GPA above a 2.5 in any college and you’re most definitely in, OSU is ridiculously easy on transfers.

Heres a source if you want.

Sadly this isn’t the case for branch campuses, you have to get at least 45 credits to be eligible for transferring. On the bright side, you’re guaranteed a spot for admission and all credits you take will transfer into OSU. A big problem with transferring schools is that only some of the classes you take will transfer, that isn’t the case with branch campuses.
