Thanks Masterus... because when I read fizix's and Bassmaster's replies they just put me to shame haha

Normally freshman and sophomores take at most 1 AP each year. I took AP Human Geo last year(freshman) and am taking 3 now: AP Statistics(in School), AP Biology(online), AP Computer Science A(online). Btw, I am a sophomore this year. I would really recomend taking APs early

AP World History or AP Human Geography is NOT amazing or anywhere near amazing. It is probably 2 of the easiest APs. It doesn't REQUIRE any skill because it has virtually no PREREQUISITES.

yes some people take high school math and science class when they are 7th and 8th grade...some people take ap calc ab in soph year...

Thanks for your gracious input Masterus. I would also like to make a point that I took AP Human Geo when I was 12years old and am taking 3 APs when I am now 13/14 years old. Did you ever do that, Masterus?

---Not to sound very arrogant---
Once again, I definitely would recommend taking any AP(no matter how insignificant) becuase it will give you a taste of what's ahead. But never take more than you can hande.

Yeah, I'm doing AP Latin in school, I'm might do AP Music Theory and AP Chinese Exam because I have taken the chinese program there for a few year.

Started Latin 1 over this past summer :).

Masterus is very good at changing topics.

Language on the other hand REQUIRES skill, memorization and usage by applying.
Math is similar, but is mainly memorization of concepts.

I answered you 2 minutes ago...wow.

I saw your Sophmore schedule, you only have AP Biology as your only hard AP, the others are jokes.

I agree AP World History is easy - I looked at AP texts, and they do NOT compare to a college World History class. They totally read like advanced high school book. So I'm doing "AP" World History, but it really isn't. It's a college level World History course, and is even done in a semester. It DOES require previous skills, however, since I have to be able to write on an advanced college level - and that's evaluated by a college professor.

Masterus, you only took Latin I before AP Latin? Which AP are you doing?

My High School has very clear sequences of classes that must be satisfied, so what grade you're in has no affect on whether or not you can take a class. I took AP Human as a freshmen, and got a five, as did four other people in a class of 30, comparable to the national average. I'm a sophomore now and take AP Bio (one of four sophomores to, out of 45 total students) and AP World, which most sophomores in the Advanced program (the highest tiers of class generally) take. My school is really emphasizing its AP program so it can compete with the local math/science magnet by letting kids have enough AP credit to entire college as a sophomore. Also, Kentucky offers a higher diploma to people who take AP classes, so many kids take them.

I have four APs and I'm sophomore. I skipped some classes, including math ones (skipped pre-calc and fresh science) and passed sophomore language tests in 9th grade :)
What also helped is that we have block scheduling.

Seriously, are you asking for people to flame you?

In my school (and I think NYC in general) you cant take AP's freshman year, and can only take AP Euro/AP global sophmore year. I couldn't take either of those soph yr cause i xfered into a new school and am in this gay program even though i am more qualified than many of the kids who are in those AP classes- o well.

i took AP us history as a sophmore...........and i got a 4 but a lot of my smart fellow classmates didn't pass...........and yes good advice sax...i totally wish I would've taken the subject test right after it

He's doing AP Statistics, it's a joke because he's doing it with Honors Precalculus. AP Computer Science is easy if you have a good MATH backround and he already did Algebra 3,4. Test is fairly easy. That's all he's doing for APs.

I learned Latin 2 and Latin 3 by myself. I'm doing the Ovid-Catullus test, I plan on doing Vergil Sophmore year and take a Latin class at a University or self-study some authors like Cicero, who is one of the hardest to read for my last 2 years.

I can't wait for the Nation Latin Exam, I plan on getting 5 years of perfect papers. There has been only 1 kid in the nation with 5 years of PERFECT papers.

Latin sucks...

Wait - isn't Cicero supposed to be THIRD year Latin? At least, isn't that how they do it in colleges?

Masterus , how many APs are you currently taking and what grade are you in?
