I'll be adding more posts.

Cicero is 5th or 6th SEMESTER College Latin. It's the least taken AP Latin test because of its difficulty while being the shortest test because it is the hardest test.

Guys someone on here went and made a new account just to do this...because they'd lose in the end. His only two posts are about me and are the same post. Isn;t that suspicious.

It is, it is....

What are you talking about?

In the end, nobody cares what classes you're taking, how much latin you know, or how much you can argue on the internet.

AMX, how are you 18 and still a high schooler? Let's talk about YOU. That's what I always do, criticize other people, but you guys always push to the topic of me in the end.

Oh, sorry. I've just always seen Latin scheduled like this:
Year One
Year Two
Cicero
Virgil

But...I don't know. I guess that doesn't line up with college board's plans?

I know plenty of people who are 18 and in high school, 18 is the normal age that the majority of people graduate at.

Cicero has different texts as well, no 18 isn't the normal age...probably 16 or 17.

Yeah, and some of the books I read that in were kind of old.

Standard is to be seventeen at the beginning of twelfth grade, and seventeen or eighteen when you graduate.

Sixteen is early.

Masterus, both of us are of the same age.
This your schedule:
Spanish 5 Honors A
Honors Precalculus H A
Honors Modern World History A+
AP Latin Literature A
Honors Earth Science A
Honors English 9 A
AP Music Theory

This is mine:
AP Bio - A
AP Stats - A
AP Computer Science - A
Anatomy and Physiology Honors -A
English 2 Honors - A
Chemistry Honors - A
Spanish 3 - A
Pre Calc Honors - A
World History Honors - A

Wow, you are definitely smarter than me. You are taking way more harder classes than me.

Thank you for insulting, oh, I don't know, 99% of high school seniors.

Seriously, if you don't want people to insult you on an internet forum, don't criticize them (Them being the strangers you seem to be superior to). Just throwing that out there.

Sorry for my off topic comment above. Masterus just provoked my inner bear.

Forgeddaboudit.

But on topic: I was under the impression that freshmen weren't allowed (at most schools) to take AP classes because of certain pre-reqs. Besides, wouldn't a school also limit APs taken by sophs? Seems like a no-brainer to prevent premature anxiety about admissions.

It all depends on your school.

Not every school has the same policies.

And not every school has the same resources.

My opinion is that AP's, if credit is given for them, should be set up like a college class.

At my school freshmen and sophmores can't take any APs unless it's a language AP. It's fairly rare for anyone below junior year to take them.

It is also usually rare for underclassmen to take AP classes. Only about 10 take them every year. Most of our advanced AP classes are set up like college classes. But last year, when I was in AP Human Geo, the teacher was new and had never taught it before. Also a lot of seniors took it just for the sake of "AP" and did poorly on the exam. I had to study a lot on my own to get a 5. So always make sure you research about the teacher and thre students who take it before signing up.
