Freshmen at UPenn in Wharton here to ANSWER QUESTIONS

Im probably applying regular...although I have a very small chance of getting in reg. lol

I can't do it online because online doesn't have the country of my citizenship.

btw, xox akhila, did you get my PM?

Hmm, no spazallan, I did not get the PM. That's very strange..

well, how's your essays coming along? I just finished one of mine. Wanna help me edit it?

I applied regular and got into Wharton so kids do get in early....

is there any disadvantage for applying by paper? Because as I said before, the online app doesn't have the country of my citizenship, which is really weird.

paper is better.

more traditional, shows "more" , if u know what i mean by "more"

i meant to say regular in that last reply my B.....but yeh paper really isnt better I would say.....online is just easier for the admissions rep...and easier is always better....you dont want to be whiting out things and such....

hey dadizzle, how is the homework/studying at penn

how many hours u do a night?

what are whartonites' habits at studying?
do they ever party? do they study 24/7!?

josh, if you don't mind, can you share your own hs profile with us? I'm sure everyone of us here wants to know how your stats are. But if you don't want to, that's fine.

this is just a general question, but how exactly can one do a good job on the app? Because it's basically filling out your info and stuff, and you can't really do a good job because you just write out what you are and what you did. So it kinda baffled me whenever someone said to do your best on the app.

well me personally....I work hard and play hard........yeh there is a good amount of work but it is really managable.....but I def make time to have a goodtime and party....and penn is def a great place to party....

the best advice i can give you is to be honest on your application, while still placing yourself in the best light. Remember not to make any stupid mistakes.

Colleges look at the big picture. Show that you are a good match for UPenn

why are you guys looking at Penn? ill tell if your info is correct or just a rumor.

ok DaDizzzle69, it's really nice that you're helping those fellow "freaked" seniors, but try to give them more content within your answers when you want to reply to them. im sure they all know most of those answers already.

if any of you have other questions, please feel free to ask me as well. im a junior here and i've already gone through this process twice: once for myself, and another for my bro-its all good-especially with the application process, you can say im a pro! lol just to be modest ;)

so anyway, anymore question guys??

Three questions for now: Is the curve really bad? Is everyone really competitive? And this might be off-base, but how's dating in Upenn? Dadizzzzle, if you are a guy, how are the girls in Penn like? Hot?

Compared to other schools I have visited Penn just seems to be livelier and more energetic. Kids seem really happy there, for the most part.

no the curve isnt bad in most classes. pen uses a lot of different curves. many classes though give a good amount of a's and b's so it isnt bad. penn can be very competitive if you let it. i dont. i study with my friends we help eachother and are not competitive at all.

the girls at penn

lets just say i approve

one more question, can you submit the apps before you hand in the rec letters? One of my teachers said she'll be done on the 28th, which is pretty much near the deadline.

well penn is an ivie, so girls here a most like those at other ivies, just they like to party more-and by partying i mean PARTYING. seriously-it's the only ivy considered the "party ivy." so you gotta magage your time well to stay on top of work.
