On the website for Vista del Campo it says that its only for sophomores, juniors, and seniors and I was wondering if there is anyway that a freshmen could somehow also be able to because they're private communities and it would seem kinda weird that it excludes freshmen, although I understand that they want us to sign up in the dorms. Also, when I looked at the new Camino del Sol sight it says nothing about the grade level you have to be to be able to rent an apartment-it only designated undergraduate and graduate apartments. I'm going to call Monday, but any info will help!

Majority of those apartments belong to the school likely reserved for soph, juniors, and seniors. So your out of luck living at those apartments. Those are off-campus but part of the school. But there are many private off-campus apartments close to school by walking distance. They’re called courts. Heres one of them:
[Dartmouth Court ? Irvine Apartment Homes](<a href=“Rental Living | Apartment Resources to Love Where You Live”>Rental Living | Apartment Resources to Love Where You Live).
Other court are Berkeley, Stanford…
They are a little bit cheaper if you have 3 more people living an apartment, and its unfurnished, unlike the off-campus run by school have furnished items and utilities to use.

For VDC and Norte, the leasing process was done way back in November and rooming information has already been given out. VDC is the most popular community and many students do not end up, solely because of lack spaces. To be honest, if you’re looking at the cheapest option (4 single bedrooms), then you’re out of luck. So living at VDC or Norte doesn’t seem likely since the housing applications for it have already been over for a while.

I’m not entirely sure about Camino del Sol, because they just recently offered the option to live there to current freshmen right now. It was designated only for juniors and seniors but I guess since nobody was really leasing because of such high prices, that’s why they offered it.
