The Freshmen Trip sign up is due August 11.

Is it worthwhile to go trip?

Not mandatory, is it?

Whose going?

Wait sorry, I'm totally behind on everything about everything what freshmen trip, I feel like I should do something especially since I missed FOP registration, but hmmmm.

wait what's the link for freshman trips?

yeah, what is this freshmen trip?

The link for freshman trip info is http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~fdo/trps06/. Basically, during orientation, upperclassmen (I think) take small groups of freshman around Boston to do stuff...

Oooh, sounds like some fun, by the way, was anyone else immediately attracted to the ice cream walk or was it just me :D

i really loooove shopping, so i'm thinking about doing Quincy market or maybe Back Bay...

i'm leaning toward not going on a freshman trip because, from the looks of the schedule, a lot of them coincide with the first football game of the season. (which i am super excited about!) there are some on friday that don't overlap though.

The trips definitely aren't mandatory and there's no harm in signing up and then deciding not to go. It's one more way to meet people during your first week. And they're led by some faculty and alumni.

I went to the JFK museum... pretty fun!

My mom and brother came up this weekend and we went to the JFK Museum. It is absolutely gorgeous. The architecture is amazing and the exhibits are actually pretty cool. You can see why people loved JFK back then. For a history junkie like me, I enjoyed it. When you finish the exhibit, you come out into this courtyard which is just all glass and it's RIGHT by the water - it's really a breathtaking sight (on a good day, that is).

I didn't sign up.

My only concern was that the trip would create some schedule conflict...
