from economics to engineering?

Hello,
I’m sorry if i’m in the wrong thread, but i didn’t know where else to go.
I am a french student, in my second year of university and i am studying economics. I think i made a bad decision by following economic courses and not scientific ones.
I heard that in the US, you can have a bachelor(so 3 years of university right?) in a field and start a master in another field if you show enough motivation and knowledge. Therefore i’d like to know if this was true and if this could apply to my case?

Thanks

up!

It may work in some case depending on the program and also what course your took in college. It rarely happen to two completely different fields though. Also, most bachelor degrees take 4 years in the US, but there are 5 years program for combined bachelor+master. Of course, there are always faster track for students with high achievement.
