It will say on the acceptance page itself if you got the freshman scholarship or not
DD got in with the presidential scholarship!

How did she get Presidential? I thought that was a separate application once admitted.
How do I upload my senior grades to be recalculated for an out of state waiver? When i called the admissions office they were extremely vague and basically told me there was nothing I could do.
I was hoping I would get the Freshman Scholarship with a 4.4 FSU GPA going into senior year, 8 APs, 12 Dual Enrollment, and a 1300 SAT, but I wasn’t expecting anything, so I wasn’t surprised when I didn’t see it under my acceptance letter. What I DID see under my acceptance letter was that I am apparently a “Non-Florida Resident for Tuition Purposes” (I have lived in Florida my whole life), and only in-state people are eligible for Freshman Scholarships.
RIP me
(I know it might not have mattered anyway, but I seriously don’t know how I could have messed up so badly! I don’t know if I should call them or anything. )
I think several people had residency errors and I don’t know that it is your fault. You have to call them to correct them and then mention if this hurt your scholarship chance. They get probably way more aggressive and angry people so if you handle yourself, it will be fine.
@r2v2018 @Parman37 I had a residency error and emailed them & they corrected it within 2 days. I had a 4.1w gpa and 1350 sat. I do not think anyone in the 1300s of ths SAT qualified for the freshman scholarship. The ACT qualifying score was like a 32 so the sat score is probably around 1400-1450 for the freshman scholarship. I know, it’s unfortunate; most of fsu’s money is going to the OOS kids this year.
Did everyone receive the email inviting them to apply to honors college or was it only sent out to those that would be accepted if applied? Does it matter how soon you submit that application or the housing application?
D’s SAT was 1410 and she didn’t get the Freshman Scholarship.
Yup, after speaking with admit reps/other prospective students, I now believe there is a 1420 SAT cutoff for the Freshman scholarship. So, I guess my mistake wasn’t destructive at all (I already called and e-mailed them about my residency status).

^ Accepted for Summer 2018 (I selected to start Summer on my application due to personal reasons)
I knew it wasn’t you.
@shortnuke @r2v2018 wow that’s crazy. 1410 and no freshman scholarship and the cutoff is 1420; they have definitely raised the bar this year.
@shortnuke @r2v2018 @rah5720
Yes, it’s quite surprising. A lot of people were also not accepted this year or were offered Seminole Pathways as a substitute and for those that did get in, many did not receive the Freshman Scholarship. I live in Central Florida and a lot of students from my school feed into our state flagships like FSU. It’s been a shock for everyone with how unpredictable admissions has been this year.
Regular Decision Deadline hasn’t gotten here and the University had already recevied more than 47,000 applications when it announced its EA decisions on 1/25. See the link below for the EA acceptance data. I imagine applications for this year will eclipse 50,000. Last year’s record application year was 42K, I think.
Does anyone know when FSU will start sending out the acceptance packets through the mail?
Wow, FSU stats are like what UF’s were last year. Can’t imagine what UF’s will be this year. Both schools are doing very well.
@floridabound16 no a 1370 SAT is a 29 ACT. I had to find out because my daughter has a 1370. It was recalcuated
