I have a different take on your admission, @lucasbrowning. I think with the exception of your SAT score you had EVERYTHING that Admissions is looking for. You have a strong GPA with exceptional course rigor (AP Capstone Diploma holder and AP Scholar with Distinction), you have excellent leadership demonstration (Class President x2 and Rep along with 100+ community service hours). Lastly, you held down a full-time job throughout (AO love to see that!).
Test scores don’t always tell the whole picture. I’m glad that Admissions looked at more than your test scores. You deserve the admission. I am excited for you. You appear to have a brilliant future.

Daughter accepted with Presidential Scholarship. In State 4.84 Weighted GPA, 32ACT IB Candidate. Numerous EC’s; XC and Track Captain. Awaiting on other schools before making a final decision

Presidential is awarded after interview weekend. Do you mean you received an invite to interview for Presidential?

Another notification was attached to her acceptance awarding her Presidential Scholarship. $1200 each semester for 8 semesters (total $9600). Just has to maintain 15 hr classload

Maybe they cancelled interview weekend and just awarded the scholarships based on Honors app?
$1200 per semester is the freshman scholarship

At the bottom of the Honors letter, it says, “Please note that we will send a separate email regarding your application to the Presidential Scholars Program.” I am assuming this means an email saying not chosen, but I’m still interested to see how they roll this out this year. I didn’t get any type of notification about financial aid and/or merit scholarships? Is that normal? Does that mean that I’m not getting any?
Son OOS accepted for summer 21. Letter says he must reply by March 10 to accept. Probably won’t attend but it would be nice to keep in his back pocket. If he accepts for summer is that accepting a binding admission? He has yet to hear back from his top schools. We are from California and he would like to stay local. If anyone understands how the summer program works please advise. Thanks!
