Does anyone know when they send you the FSUId email how you actually access? keeps sending my daughter a identity management screen
FSU full pay is reasonable, often compared to other schools cost after scholarship. Donât know your other options but⊠That is a bummer about the C but itâs still an achievement to get in. And cost relative to others such as UGA with half OOS waiver, is comparable.
I agree, itâs not the worst. The good thing is that my son has several options for in-state tuition or even better at other OOS schools. He really wanted FSU, but it is not in the cards at full OOS tuition. I was also surprised to find out that they not longer give any partial OOS tuition money. Bummer.
D got two emails yesterday, for FSU email and UID.
So did mine, but its not working so will call them Monday.
For us it wouldnât work on the phone but worked from the laptop. Clear cookies and history too. Good luck.
@LMac you are required to take a total of 9 summer credits prior to graduation. Usually freshman take 6 summer b classes and then take 3 summer A after sophomore or junior year. Itâs really not a big deal.
Summer B prior to freshman year is amazing. Many in state kids chose this option. It is not a bad thing.
So after reading all the comments, it seems that if your student just got an acceptance letter but no financial aid letter there is nothing forthcoming? My son was accepted for the summer start. We are OOS. He received one C on his high school transcript which looks like it disqualifies him for any out of state waiver. Are there any other merit or need based scholarships he could qualify for? FAFSA only goes so far towards the 30k plus cost of out of state attendance. FSU sounds like such a great school but maybe not possible for us.
If you do First Year Abroad, 3.0 GPA, you get instate tuition when you return to Tallahassee
Is anyone else having a hard time getting into their admissions portal? It keeps saying that they donât have my email on file
Accepted OOS 4.22W, 1470 SAT
nope, mine works fine
Just booked flight to take D for a visit this coming weekend, to (self-guided) tour the campusâany recommendations for hotel, restaurants, and must-see spots?
We booked a flight for March let me know how it goes - we are staying at hotel indigo right by campus I think itâs in college town which I thought would give a good vibe of the surrounding parts of campus
Please let me know as well how she likes the campus!! My DD is in as well and is one of her top choices⊠we are planning for a trip down there during spring break.
I went with my son last month. We went to a little restaurant called Gordos, on the side of campus near the football stadium. For those planning tours, you may only be able to see the outside of most things. We walked all around campus. We were not allowed to enter any buildings. Most are locked. We thought we would check out the library, we got a few steps in and they (people monitoring doors) commented about having id. I told her we were not entering (it was clear we would not be allowed in) and asked if we could take a quick look from the lobby. She did let us do that, but that was it, and very short. There is no access to dorms or any other buildings. There is a visitors center at near the stadium that we were able to go in to. Either, way, even without going in, my son 100% confirmed that it was still his top choice. We both loved the campus.
Does anyone know if we do the lottery for housing on Wednesday if our have to select the dorms you want at that point or is that later?
I think the housing lottery will be after May1st since you have until then to commit
We havenât yet visited but hope to next month (from OOS). Can anyone share what the area is like? Is this a safe town to walk around in? This is a top choice for my daughter but weâd like to see it in person first, even if we canât tour inside the buildings.
@tsbna44 thank you. She went to see it in December. Loved it. Thanks for the encouraging feedback.
